3rd Annual Jet Ski Extravaganza

At Mud Cove (Pace Bend Park) [From 12:00 - out of gas]

Please join us in the third annual Jet Ski Extravaganza! Come one, come all to another standup Jetski ride on Saturday, August 6th 2011 at Pace Bend Park on Lake Travis that benefits the Town Lake Animal Shelter. Please bring your family and friends along to partake in the jetski festivites or catch some sun on the beach with a cold drink. Last year we also had a BBQ grill so bring some meat!

As before, this is not a competition, just a fun event for us die hard stand up riders. I will, however, set up a bouy course for those who want to play. There will be organized practice for both beginner/novice riders as well as advanced riders. Helmets are recommended while on the closed course.

By the way, we will be walking around collecting video interviews from some of you for a video for the website. We want to hear your jetski rants and ravs!

EVENT SUMMARY

Woah, What an incredible event! Great turnout from peeps all over the states and Europe. I counted 30+ standups on the beach from late 70′s pencils  to the latest and greatest “BOB”. We also received $301 to donate to the town lake animal shelter. Thanks everyone! Pics and vids are up on facebook and a short vid here!

2nd Annual Jet Ski Extravaganza

At Mud Cove (Pace Bend Park) [From 10:00 - out of gas]

We will hold our first annual standup Jetski ride on Saturday, August 7th at Pace Bend Park on Lake Travis benefitting Town Lake Animal Shelter. I am  trying to get things started around 10:00 am so we can get good lake side parking at the flats. This event is for standup riders and waveblasters only. Originally planned for Lake Austin, I have decided Mud Cove at Pace Bend Park would accommodate more riders and family members who might want to camp. Looking for a few volunteers with boats and video cameras to get some video of us riding side by side down Cow Creek and  Go Pro camera’s for some up close action shots.

EVENT SUMMARY

We wanted to send out a BIG thanks to everyone who participated in the Jet Ski Extravaganza this weekend! I counted atleast 35 stand-ups on a few of the formations that Jordan helped us orchestrate. Who knew how hard it would be to align 35+ jet skies in a single file line for the ‘anaconda’!?!? Furthermore, we raised over 200 bucks for town lake animal shelter which will give a home to the much needed pups on our streets. Special thanks to Darren and Carol for bringing out Keith’s pontoon boat, and everyone on the boat for taking great pictures and videos of the extravaganza!
